The Salvation Army began in Austria in 1927 and was legally recognized by the Austrian Federal Ministry in 1952. The Salvation Army’s operations in Hungary began in 1924 but were suppressed in 1950. After the opening of the central European borders, The Salvation Army was officially re-established in Hungary in 1990.
Austria and Hungary are part of the Switzerland, Austria, and Hungary Territory.
