Joseph Baynes Children’s Home is located in Pietermaritzburg, South Africa.  In May 2013, Joseph Baynes has celebrated its 90th year caring for abandoned and orphaned children.  Many of these children – who can be just a couple weeks old all the way up to 18 years old – come from appalling, horrific and tragic backgrounds.  With the help of their community and Salvation Army donors, the home is able to care for and love 82 children – each a precious member of the Joseph Baynes family.

From December 2012 through June 2013 fifteen children left the home and were re-united with family, adopted, or placed into foster care.  But any vacant spaces are soon filled, and Josephn Baynes is full again.  One of the great needs is for extra space for the infants and toddlers.
