The Salvation Army’s ministry in Russia first began in 1910 and continued on and off until 1923 when The Salvation Army had to close its operations and leave the country.  In July 1991 Salvation Army activities were officially recommenced in Russia.  Today the Eastern Europe Territory includes the countries of Georgia, Moldova, Romania, Russian Federation, and Ukraine.  Light of the World highlights the work of The Salvation Army in the Eastern Europe Territory.
