Jambo (Hello),
Team Kenya arrived on Tuesday June 16th and have been busy since we landed. This week we spent our time visiting the Nairobi and Thika Divisions. We have been so blessed by the warm and welcoming nature of the people here in Kenya. So far we have been able to visit six schools and conduct evangelism programs for the students. On Thursday we visited a primary school in the slums of Nairobi and saw first hand how joyful the children are just to be hugged.
We have been staying at The Salvation Army Parkroad Compound and are being hosted by the TYS Captain James. The compound is home to several officers and their families. We have spent a lot of time getting to know the officers and have loved playing games with their families. Our team has already started to developed deep connections with these families and it has been wonderful to fellowship with them.
We have been truly blessed by this country. From the red dirt to the warm welcoming smiles, we love this country. It is sad for us to think we only have four weeks left here.
Kwaheri (goodbye)!
Love and Blessings,
Team Kenya
