Cintia Szabo is Salvationist from Hungary. In 2017 she had the opportunity to be a member of the USA Central Summer Mission Team and serve throughout the Midwest of the United States.
I want to tell how God used my life this summer for two months while I served on Summer Mission Team. I experienced how to give and receive. God gave me blessings every day and I was able to share with others the amazing things that God taught to me. When I started this travel I felt I was ready. I was brave and courageous. I opened my heart to God that I would do whatever He asked. I learned not to ask “why”, just concentrate on God and leave behind my doubts and concerns. I gave my all every day and enjoyed every moment. I talked deeply with God, wanting to grow in Him and give Him praise every day. And this verse from the Bible became important for me, 2 Corinthians 12:9 – “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.”
So it was an amazing and unforgettable summer. I loved my team. My favorite part was our daily devotional meeting. I changed because of God and I am thankful for The Salvation Army, Summer Mission Team, and my teammates. God has given me gifts that I can now use – unconditional love, patience, care, encouragement, unity, prayer, and humility.
