Advent Prayer Cards – 2020

Advent is an exciting time as we prepare and anticipate the birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ.  During this season, we invite you to use the 2020 Advent prayer cards as a way to help you slow down and center your thoughts and prayers on others – whether in your own neighborhood or around the world!  Aligned with the Territorial Advent Series, Awaiting the Already, the prayer cards highlight global concerns, our Partners in Mission, overseas missionaries, and prayer requests for various international ministries of The Salvation Army. Here are a few suggestions for using the prayer cards:

-Incorporate the prayer cards in to your daily personal or family devotional time.

-Print the prayer cards for the week and include them as an insert in the corps bulletin.

-Include the prayer topics for the week during the intercessory prayer time in your worship service.

-Put the cards in a box on your dresser, table or desk. Take one out each day and pray for the request listed.

-Hang the cards on the wall of your office, on the refrigerator, on a fireplace mantle, or on the Missions Bulletin Board at the corps. Add one card each day throughout the Advent journey. Every time you pass the display, pray for the topics listed.

-The World Missions Department will be sharing one prayer card each day on our social media accounts. Follow along on Instagram (@saworldmission) or Facebook (SA World Missions) and join us in prayer daily!

We want to hear from you! Send us an email at Missions@usc.salvationarmy.org or tag us on social media to let us know how you are using this year’s Advent prayer cards!
