Captain Jessica is a second-generation Salvationist, originally from Peru (SAW Territory).   Captain Jessica moved to the United States in 2012, entered CFOT in 2013, and was ordained as an officer in 2015 in the Heralds of Grace session. Before entering the training college, she was an accountant in Peru and worked in the Youth department at the WUM Division.

Before beginning her service in the South America East Territory, Captain Jessica served as Corps Officer in two bilingual corps: Minneapolis Central, MN (6 years) and East Chicago, Indiana (1 year), and as Divisional Secretary and Divisional Secretary for Hispanic Ministries in the NCI Division (2 years and 7 months). Captain Jessica holds a degree as an Accountant Technician and a bachelor’s in counseling for Christian Ministries from the Nazarene Bible College. The captain will graduate from Arrow leadership in May 2025.

In Uruguay, Captain Jessica serves as Divisional Secretary/Divisional Secretary for Programs and Assistant for Women’s Ministries.

Jessi, as her friends call her, has a special gift for providing pastoral care. Her compassionate nature shines through as she welcomes, accepts, and loves those around her, reflecting the love of Jesus.
