World Toilet Day 2013

New Toilet at Joytown Primary School

This photo shows a new bathroom which was recently completed at The Salvation Army Joytown Primary School for Children with Disabilities.  This facility greatly improves the sanitation conditions for the school’s pupils and also accommodates for the special needs of the school’s amazing pupils.  However, not all people around the world have access to facilities such as this.  According to the United Nations, one-third of the world’s population does not have access to access to proper sanitation.  World Toilet Day helps to raise awareness of this problem and encourage policy changes will will improve conditions for people around the globe.  To learn more, click here.
