Team Moldova has reached the end of our time here in the country that welcomed us into their homes and hearts. Our final full week was spent in Edineț, a Corps that was apart of the 20 New Corps Initiative.
During the week, our team helped with a day camp. The women joined a women’s home group one day, which includes pizza, games, and time to get to know each other. There was also a young adult gathering we were invited to that was lots of fun.
Our 1st Sunday, Melissa gave a wonderful testimony about how she accepted that God is calling her to be an officer. On the 2nd Sunday, guests from both DHQ and THQ joined for worship. I gave my testimony about this summer. We got to witness one of the officers, Sergiu get promoted to Captain. To end the service, there was a ground breaking event to celebrate the work about to be completed there. This summer, everyone we’ve met has been a blessing, but that is especially true in Edineț. Since a large number of people were expected for the 2nd Sunday, they held the service outside. So, we sat under grape Vines, an apricot tree, a tarp, and some balloons to worship God as one family.
Soon we will travel home and leave a portion of our hearts here. Please pray for safe travels and many blessings for Moldova.
