Jambo,
Team Kenya spent yesterday at the Kibera Nursery School and Kenya East THQ. We were able to visit three nursery classes and teach them songs. At THQ we had a debriefing and farewell meeting with the TC.
Last night we were surprised with a farewell party thrown by the families of the Park Road Compound. Each family sang and presented a speech to our team. We were also presented with a cake. It is Kenyan tradition to feed everyone at your party a bite of cake and our team loved participating in this tradition. We took the residents of the compound out to a thank you dinner and the fellowship that took place was a blessing.
Today we leave Kenya. Our hearts are full and we leave knowing we have family here. We don’t deserve the warm hospitality and love of these people but we are thankful that the Lord has blessed us with this experience. Words can not express the love we have for the people here. We are grateful for their lives and for their love of Christ. We came here expecting to be a blessing but as it happened we are the ones who became blessed. It is our prayer that God continues to move in the people here and that the Army continues to grow.
